Ibiza, Formentera and all the small islands that surround them, form the archipelago of the "Illes Pitiuses" (which means "pine tree island", and together with the "Baleares" (consisting of Mallorca, Menorca and Cabrera), form The Autonomic Community of the Baleric Islands.

The island is mountainous, but with gentle hills and dotted with pine trees.

The coast is pleasant and varied, with long beaches, white, fine sandy coves, steep cliffs and hidden and solitary corners.

Much of the island's economy is derived from tourism.

This photograph emphasizes the beauty of the island of Ibiza!
